Rusty Malinoski Wins Tige Pro-Am Wakeboard Championships in Marathon – Santori Hangs on to Win King
Marathon, FL – The chase for the biggest prize in wakeboarding came down to the Tige Pro-Am Wakeboard Championships today in Marathon, Florida. Canada's Rusty Malinoski, coming into the event fourth on the King of Wake season standings, almost pulled off an unbelievable comeback winning today's Tige event, but falling just short of the season crown. Tino Santori, finishing fourth today, took home just enough points to win the King of Wake crown and the $10,000 bonus.
Tige' Pro-Am Wakeboard Championships in Marathon Will Decide Who's #1 for 2006
Marathon, FL – The chase for the biggest prize in wakeboarding will come down to the Tige' Pro-Am Wakeboard Championships Nov. 3-5 in Marathon, Florida. The best riders in the world will take to the waters off Sombrero Beach to determine who will be crowned the 2006 King of Wake. This is the second straight year Marathon has hosted the Tige' Championships.
University Of Louisiana Lafayette Wakeboard Tournament
The University Of Louisiana Lafayette will be hosting their first annual Wakeboard Tournament, October 7, 2006. There will be an entry fee of $40.00 for all riders with all proceeds going to support the ULL Wakebaord Club.
Adkison Wins Second Title in Three Years at WWA Wakeboarding World Championships in Fort Worth
Fort Worth, TX - Coming back from a broken back that kept him out of last year's world championships, Andrew Adkison won his second world title in three years today at the No Fear WWA Wakeboard World Championships in Fort Worth, Texas. Adkison, from Orlando, Florida, topped the finals field with a 95.00 to defeat Canada's Rusty Malinoski and his fellow American rider Danny Harf.
TSR Fall Festival
The event season at TSR comes to a close each year with the TSR Fall Festival. This years Fall festival included wakeboard competitions on both our cable lake and boat lake, the 2nd Annual Texas Pit Bike National, bikini contest and a regional skateboard tournament. Once the rain cleared away Saturday afternoon we were left with ideal conditions for the Mini Motocross race and remaining wakeboard events. The action was intense, but the atmosphere was laid back as always at Texas Ski Ranch.
