Austin/San Antonio, TX Malibu dealership has new ownership
The new owner is Robert Falgout, a native Texan, born in Galveston and a University of Texas alumnus. Prior to the acquisition, Robert has run family businesses in the petroleum and the automotive industries.
"I got to a point where I wanted to work in a business I truly have a passion for" said Falgout. "I grew up on the water in Galveston and boating has been a big part of my life since I was very young. I love all types of boats, but particularly ski and wakeboard boats."
Robert has been involved in tournament waterskiing since age 11 when he made his first ride over a jump ramp. "Over the years, I have skied or boarded behind every brand of boat. I am truly excited to be part of the Malibu brand" said Falgout.
The acquisition comes at an interesting point. Malibu Boats is celebrating their 25th anniversary and Central Texas Water Sports is marking 15 years in 2007.
"Many of the faces will remain the same here. Kevin Brown and Charlie Tassos have proven themselves to be very knowledgeable salesmen and our Service Manager, Kenny Weeks, is one of the hardest-working, conscientious people I have ever met. Our customers will definitely see a higher level of service going forward into 2007 and beyond" said Falgout.
