Lenoir City, TN - On Saturday, April 23, Malibu Boats presented Ride the Wake at Lenoir City Park from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The event was for anyone who was interested in wakeboarding and wanted to meet three wakeboarding professionals. Even with the weather on the cold side we had a great turn-out.
Gerry Nunn, Mike Weddington, and Shaun Murray, world champion wakeboarders, put on a wakeboard show and provided free lessons for approximately thirty individuals that signed up. Autographs and photographs were unlimited!
Shadrack Watersports & RV gave away two wakeboards with bindings. The winners were: Beth Lafontaine of Knoxville, TN and Michael Lawson of Athens, TN.
The event drew people from all over including North Carolina, Virgina and even Maryland.
"We were really excited to provide Ride the Wake, and are hopeful that this will have a positive impact on our community and our youth." said John Sisson.
