Malibu and HSV's Australian “Just Ride” Series Heats Up

(Albury, Australia) -Held in hot calm conditions at the Hume Boat Club near Albury NSW, Malibu boat owners and HSV enthusiasts were treated to hospitality and gifts courtesy of McRae Holden of Wodonga, Riverina Marine Centre of Wagga Wagga and Malibu Boats Australia. Excellent skiing and Wakeboarding conditions prevailed for most of the day until welcome relief arrived in the form of a 15 knot southerly that took some of the edge off the hot conditions.
Professional Wakeboarding demonstrations were held for keen on lookers by team “Liquid force” Pro riders flown in from Queensland including Daniel Pyne. Patrons also enjoyed demo drives of several different Malibu models and had the opportunity to try some new skis and wakeboards supplied by O’Brein Wakeboards and Jobe skis.
When asked about the event, Petroulla Artemiou of Riverina Marine Centre had this to say, “The [Australian] Just Ride series has given us a great opportunity to get to know some of the many Malibu owners that live in the area that we now represent. We have only recently joined the [Australian] Malibu Dealer network and it is very exciting to be a part of such a great team”.
Demo drives were on offer to patrons of McRae Holden in the just released VZ series HSV’s including the AWD Avalanche XUV, the new 297 kW Clubsport and the stunning Coupe 4. “This is a great concept that gives our customers the chance to feel and live the lifestyle that both Malibu and HSV share” said Murray Parker, sales manager of McRae’s HSV division.
In addition to the activities, the centre piece of the “On shore” display was the eye catching “Big Red”. This stunning rig combines an HSV Avalanche XUV finished in vibrant “Sting Red” with a “Solid” Red Malibu Response LXi fitted to a colour coded custom trailer with polished stainless steel accents.
“We wanted to create something that really inspired people” said Simon Hill, manager of sales & marketing for Malibu Boats of Australia. “This rig represents what Malibu and HSV are all about, building head turning high performance machines that look fantastic and have all the performance to match”.
