Finally, a wakeboarder has been recognized by the ESPN sports awards known as the ESPYs.
The ESPYs are given out by ESPN, but voted on by the fans. They go to athletes for excellence in Sports Performance kind of like the athlete's Oscars.
Dallas Friday has been nominated for top Female Action Sport athlete. This alone is huge, but if she wins, it will be a big boost for the sport. The good news is we have say in it by voting.
