Kennesaw, GA – Ambush Boarding Co. and Buywake.com are set to kick off their annual grassroots wakeboard contest series June 12th-13th at Lake Olmstead in Augusta, GA. This season’s contest series, dubbed the BYOB (bring your own board) Wakeboard Series, is scheduled for five (5) two-day events throughout the summer. The events range from expression session-style contests to a nighttime slider challenge to an invite only battle for the BYOB Wakeboard Series crown.
“No one has ever thrown a grassroots contest series of this magnitude before”, said Paul Lizon, Ambush/Buywake.com Marketing and Event Coordinator. “The Ambush/Buywake.com BYOB Wakeboard Series will be the biggest string of contests put on by anyone other than the Pro Tour”, Lizon adds.
“I am really proud of what we have put together this summer”, said Ambush General Manager, Lee Elliott. “This is an actual contest tour where participants can earn contest ratings that allow them to be invited to the championships in August. There will actually be a series champion and a title to be defended next year”
