AUSTIN, TX -The second annual Girls Day Out wakeboarding event is set to be held at Lake Austin, Saturday September 8, 2001.
Organized as a venue to promote women in the sport of wakeboarding, Girls Day Out is the premier national all-ladies free-ride event. Women of all ages and skill levels are invited to enjoy a day of riding behind a variety of boats with other female wakeboarding enthusiasts from all over the country.
As this is a free-ride event, there will not be a competition. This will encourage everyone to get out and enjoy the day. We will have several demo boats from manufacturers such as Malibu, MasterCraft, Nautique, Supra, and Tige. All boats will be driven by women. Participants can demo the latest wakeboards and bindings by Double Up, Hyperlite, Liquid Force, O'Brien, and Origin.
Some professional female wakeboarders will be participating in the day-long event. Ladies will be divided evenly among several boats and will be given the opportunity to change boats at midday. Lunch will be provided, and a drawing will be held for wakeboard gear and other prizes provided by the event sponsors.
