Event Dates: JULY 18-19-20, 2003
New Braunfels, TX – Texas Ski Ranch will host the third annual US Cable
Wakeboard National Championships on July 18, 19 & 20. The competition will feature wakeboarders and wakeskaters ranging from local amateurs to national professionals.

The success of last year’s Nationals in Fort Lauderdale and the momentum generated by the second year of the Cable Wakeboard Tour will make this an exciting event. Top cable wakeboarders from all over the US will compete for the title of National Champion. Riders such as Rob Mapp (1999 World Champion, 2002 US Champion), Brad Federspiel (2001 US Champion), and Donald Shelbrick (2002 US Tour Winner and TSR's Cablestock Sickest Trick Champion) will showcase why they are the top names in the sport. With spectacular crowd-pleasing aerial
maneuvers on tap such as Double S-Bend to blind, Blind 313s, Suicide Slides, and Double Half Cab Rolls, the Open Men’s final promises an amazing spectacle for everyone's enjoyment.

Already well-established and immensely popular in Europe, Asia, and Australia, competition wakeboarding on the cable is finally taking root in
the United States, and is rapidly gaining in popularity. “Cable wakeboard competition is definitely taking off here in the US and Canada,” said David Cornwall, founder and director of the Cable Wakeboard Tour. "The tremendous enthusiasm for the sport and rapid growth we've seen so far only promises great things to come in the years ahead. Everyone is encouraged to come out and see why this sport is becoming so popular."
