(Merced, CA) - Dallas Friday, Team Malibu's top woman rider, proved her superiority once again at the 2003 season's first Pro Wakeboard Tour stop in Orlando, Florida. Friday rode away with a strong victory at Cranes Roost in Altamonte Springs, just outside Orlando.
Racking up her third consecutive Pro Tour victory in Orlando, Friday has been holding all of the cards on the Orlando Pro Tour set since 2001.
She barreled out of the gate swinging again this year and carried that momentum through to the finals where she captured the win.
Presented by Bart's WaterSports, the Pro Women's stop was jammed with fierce competition. Even knowing Friday's winning record in Orlando the other female competitors were not about to give an inch.
Second place finisher Megan Major fought tooth and nail for that elusive Orlando victory only to fall short of the podium's top tier. Emily Copeland launched her own battle for the number one spot and managed to hang on to third with that effort.
Friday has thrown down the gauntlet with a season-opening win and established herself as a force to be reckoned with again this year.
