The guys head off from their Orlando base in their 40ft luxury coach to visit over thirty Tige and O’Brien dealers nationwide for more than 60 days riding with the pros. The nationwide tour encompasses cities from coast to coast. Tige dealers invite valued customers, young aspiring riders and seasoned wakeboarders to spend a day hanging with the pros.
“Our concept has always been more of a day for riders to hang with us, watch us ride and share the stoke of wakeboarding” said Mikacich winner of the IWSF World Wakeboard Championships in 2000. “Bisch and I started this concept three years ago and Tige Boats has backed us heavily to allow us to reach out to as many riders as possible through the Tige dealer family.”
Cobe is one of the most decorated and revered riders in the sport today appealing to young grommets and older riders alike. Cobe’s accessibility to the public and warm outgoing nature makes him a crowd favorite the world over.
Chris Bischoff, Tige team manager coordinates the schedule and dealer arrangements for the tour while actively helping riders learn more about the sport. “The Fantastic Voyage allows me to stay in touch with the grass roots of the sport and share my love of riding with thousands of people that are equally passionate about our sport,” said Bischoff who is a respected Chief Judge on the US pro wakeboard tour.
The luxury home on wheels also becomes a focal spot for riders at Pro Tour contests all over the country during the year. “We love to have riders, spectators and sponsors chill with us on the bus at contests, it makes it more real for us while on tour,” said Bischoff.
The Fantastic Voyage is sponsored by Tige Boats Inc, Mercruiser and O’Brien.
