DALLAS, TX (January 2010) - On Saturday night, February 6th some top regional and pro wakeboarders will be heading to the infamous Gilley's honky-tonk in Dallas to participate in the 5th Annual Boardshorts, Bulls and Bikini's boat show kick-off party and mechanical bull-riding competition...and your invited to join them!
Due to the challenging economic climate, this year's event will not include a rail jam contest...but thanks to support from iWake.com and The Dallas Watersports Complex, we are still throwing a party for the wakeboard faithful featuring some top pro and local riders competing on Gilley's legendary mechanical bull. The party will also feature a Hot Bod Bikini Contest, DJ Joey B on the ones and twos and to top it off...live music from Fort Worth "Cow Punk" rockers – Holy Moly.
Already scheduled to join the party and ride the bull are Liquid Force Pro Team rider Tom Fooshee, CWB Pro Gabe Lucas, Hyperlite Pro Jimmy LaRiche, Byerly Wakeskate Pro Bret Little and Signature Wakeskate Pro Clint Tompkins. They will be joined by top regional riders competing for cash prizes and the coveted Boardshorts, Bulls and Bikini's custom silver trophy belt buckle!
Following the bull-riding competition, iWake.com and DWC will be hosting a very special after-party in The Loft bar at Gilley's. The pro's will judge the Hot Bod Bikini Contest with help from the crowd followed by a live concert from Fort Worth's own, Holy Moly.
The bull-riding competition starts at 8:00pm and is free to the public. The after-party is open to anyone 18 or older with $10 paid admission. The first 100 people through the door will get a FREE ticket to the Dallas International Boat Show which takes place February 5th-14th at Dallas Market Hall. Gilley's is located at 1135 South Lamar just south of downtown Dallas.
