ABILENE, TX – Tige Boats announced today that it has promoted Rick Correll to President of the company. Correll has served as Tige Vice President and General Manager for the past 18 months after joining the company in 2006.
With 30 years of experience in the marine industry, Correll has worked at every level of the manufacturing process for some of the largest manufacturers in the marine industry. He has also been involved with developing innovative ideas that have resulted in several patents within the industry. Since joining Tige, Correll has been in charge of the entire manufacturing process as well as overseeing the company's administrative and sales/marketing functions.
"Rick has helped guide Tige through one of the most challenging periods in the marine industry," said Tige CEO Charlie Pigeon. "His leadership and experience are a big reason for Tige's current excellent financial strength, our continued growth and our outstanding position in today’s inboard market."
Pigeon added that Correll's emphasis on employee training, team building and innovation throughout the company have served Tige well during recent months and have resulted in a new level of efficiency and product quality.
Tige manufactures eight inboard models ranging from 20 to 24 feet in length.
