Malibu Boats Recognized for Outstanding Customer Satisfaction

(Merced, CA) - The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) announced Malibu Boats as a recipient of the annual 2008 Marine Industry CSI Award. Malibu Boats, the world's top selling wakeboard and ski boat manufacturer, will be recognized for excellence in customer satisfaction, as part of NMMA's Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) program at IBEX in October.
Malibu Boats is being honored for their efforts to increase customer satisfaction levels in the wakeboard, ski and family boating industries. They are joined by Indmar Marine Engines, powering all Malibu boats, who was also announced as a CSI award winner.
Malibu Boats and Indmar will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments in customer service during the annual Industry Awards Breakfast at the 2008 International Boat Builders' Exhibition and Conference (IBEX), taking place October 6-8 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
Mike Sanchez, Director of Customer Service and Warranty for Malibu Boats, said, "We strive to be the best in every aspect of the boat building business. Customer satisfaction is a big part of that drive and the NMMA CSI program gives us the ability to critically monitor our progress." Sanchez continued, "This award proves that we are doing a great job, but it also pushes us to do better."
The Marine Industry CSI Awards program honors companies actively measuring customer satisfaction to pursue continuous improvement. Award recipients achieved and maintained an independently-measured standard of excellence of 90 percent or higher in customer satisfaction over the past year, based on information provided by consumers purchasing a new boat or engine during the period between April 1, 2007 and March 31, 2008. Participating manufacturers must survey all new boat buyers during this period. For this reporting period, more than 66,000 consumer responses were collected.
