For the first time, The Standerd Wake Quarterly is bringing the release party for the newest issue out of Orlando and into Southern California. The Standerd will collaborate with Wakesports Unlimited in debuting the best images from the past three months in wakeboarding. On Saturday June 28, Wakesports will host the Midsummer Media Mixer and Mega Sale from 10am-6pm where customers can take advantage of discounts of up to 50% on all the new gear from Liquid Force, Ronix, Radar, Hyperlite, HO, Spy, and O'Neill. The crew from will also be on hand handing out drinks all night. Everyone who makes an appearance at the shop at some point during the day will receive a VIP wristband with the information to the secret location of The Standerd release party. At approximately 8:30pm, the action at the shop will wind down and everyone will make their way over to the undisclosed location of the release party. Space is limited and, as a result, you will only be admitted to the party if you have a VIP wristband.
Leading wakeboarding photographers Josh Letchworth and Joey Meddock put together The Standerd Wake Quarterly over a year ago hoping to give readers the ideal combination of few advertisements and quality photos. Wakesports owner Josh Cantor commented, "We have always looked at The Standerd release parties as a prestigious event and have wanted to bring it out of Orlando for some time now. Everyone at Wakesports is stoked to be able to finally bring this event to our customers." As if the magazine release was not enough, Zak Stone's new film Not What Cha Think will also be premiered at the party. Some of the best local talent from around Southern California along with industry heavyweights will all be in attendance.
Wakesports Unlimited is located at 350 S. Tustin Ave in Orange, CA. Any questions regarding the event can be answered by calling the shop at 714-363-9253 or logging on to www.standerdparty.com.
