The Boarding School - Wakeboard Camp Profile

Shaun and Travis partnered over 4 years ago and have been working on refining the art of wakeboard coaching and assembling the best group of coaches on the planet to help you reach and realize your full potential. They have created a comfortable environment to progress your riding while maintaining the most important aspect of wakeboarding...Fun!

Location of school: St. Cloud, Florida

Date established / History: 2003...To be honest, it kinda came together on a whim. We were just talking on the phone one day and decided to do it. Fortunately, it worked out!

Hours of operations: We are open year round, but have limited dates November through January.

Bio's of coaches: Shaun Murray: One of the best riders in the sport for over 10 years. A multi time World Champ and Tour Champ. If you can do it he has done it. Kyle Rattray: A Canadian National Champion, rider on the Pro Tour with several top 5 finishes, and also drives on the Pro Tour. More Boarding School bio information.

Boats and other tow vehicles: MasterCraft X-Star

Do you offer rails and sliders? No, but take students to OWC if that is something they are interested in.

How much time will each student spend on the water? Most people ride either 3 or 4 times a day. It is really up to them, you can ride as much as you like.

What types of off water training are offered (Trampoline, boat safely, boat driving)? We do go over a lot of things in the boat as far as safety, driving, and riding. But do not offer any tramp training.

List notable riders coming out of your camp: We mainly deal with beginner riders, but they are all notable to us. But, we do have quite a few divisional riders come through as well.

List any medical training or safety training on-site staff might have certification in: We all have First Aid, CPR, and Water Safety Training.

For the concerned parent, will there be adult supervision for students staying at week long camps? We do not take anyone under 18 unless with a parent or guardian.

Additional information/Comments: We feel we offer a different experience than most camps out there. We take a max of 5 students, and have 2 coaches in the boat most of the time. It is highly personalized and educational. Our goal is to have the students walking away with knowledge about everything involving riding, not just the tricks they are working on. And, most importantly, we want everyone to have fun.

We would just like to thank the students that continue to come back and make our jobs fun and to all the people that have supported all of us though out our careers.
