Action Sports and Live Music to be Featured at West Texas Wakeboard Rail Jam

The development of the high-speed, gas-powered winch is one of the most exciting progressions in wakeboarding's young history. It has given riders, who are pulled by a high speed winch, the ability to take their sport to the streets with the use of portable pools, separated by rails and sliders.

The Riptank Rail Jam - Jam at the Garden will take place on Friday, April 20th in the heart of Lubbock's entertainment district known locally as "The Depot District". The rail jam will take place on Buddy Holly Avenue at the Beer Garden. The set-up will include two portable pools filled with over 30,000 gallons of water and separated by two forty foot rails. It's action sports up close and personal featuring the top riders in the state plus live music from Hero Factor, Falling Jupiter, Crimson Envy and very special guest…Vanilla Ice!

Located in the heart of the South Plains, Lubbock offers a rich history, a dynamic economy, and a unique culture. A thriving city of over 200,000 people, Lubbock serves as the region's economic, educational, and health care hub. But while Lubbock offers plenty of big-city amenities, it still maintains an atmosphere of small-town hospitality and West Texas charm.

"We are excited to be partnering with the crew at the Riptank Boardshop for this event", said tour organizer, Bill Geiger. "This is our first trip to West Texas and we are expecting great crowds and a killer event".

Already scheduled to shred are top regional riders including Texas Wakeboard Tour regulars Gabe Lucas, Tom Fooshee, Joey Bradley, Brian Sasser, Richie McKee, Danny Sherrill, Joe Lemberg and Mitch Bergsma. They will be joined by Orlando; Florida based Pro riders Adam Errington and members of the Hyperlite Pro Wakeboard Team.

Gates open at 7:00pm and the rail jam will take place from 9:00pm to 11:00pm. Tickets are available now at Ralph's Record locations, the Beer Garden and Riptank Boardshop located at 50th and Elgin in Lubbock.

In addition to Nissan North America, the Riptank Rail Jam is made possible with support from Monster Energy Drink, Family Power Sports, Bud Light, Hyperlite Wakeboards, H20 Clothing and TBKS. Media partners include Alliance Wakeboard, WakeBoarding Magazine, Wakeworld.com and KFMX Radio.
