The original winter watersports extraveganza is back for its third year!
Winterwaterland 2002 will be held Saturday,January 12, 2002 at the Anchor Inn in Newville, Wisconsin. (halfway between Madison and Janesville on I-90)
Winterwaterland is the only true winter watersports event, bringing together people from all disciplines; wakeboard, barefoot, slalom, kneeboard, and even swivel, for a day of fun and togetherness.
Last year the event drew 49 crazy souls who braved the frigid Rock River to participate in the event. Nearly 200 spectators watched bundled up from the shore on a day in which the high temperature was only 21 degrees. This year will again be an open freeride format for men and women of all ages and abilities.
A hot tub will again be onsite for all participants to use before and after their run, if it's as cold as last year, some of the spectators may even jump in to warm up.
After the sun goes down, local hit band, Population 4 (who got their big break at the first Winter Waterland) will rock the night away in our heated tent.
