2006 Malibu Wakesetter 247 LSV

Malibu Wakesetter 247 LSV(Merced, CA) – The Wakesetter 247LSV offers more: more seating, more ballast and more pulse-quickening performance plus innovative features that create an entirely new standard in wakeboarding boats today. Power by the 400 horse power Hammerhead 383, this 24’ 7” tow boat will definitely move you. The Wakesetter 247 LSV comes standard with the forward sweeping Illusion X tower, progressive gel coat and graphics, Precision Pro Cruise Control, and the Malibu Launch System (MLS) ballast tanks. If that is not enough, both cruise and ballast levels can be monitored via the new in-dash LCD Graphical Dash Display. There’s more. Read on.

More air. Wake-making at its biggest.
The Wakesetter 247 LSV rides upon the 24 foot 7 inch V25 hull, which boasts a beam of 102 inches. Combined with standard 1150 lbs. of Malibu Launch System (MLS) and an optional 350-pound bow MLS tank the Wakesetter 247 LSV churns up the biggest wakes in the business. And with as much as 1500lbs of ballast to keep track of, Malibu has introduced the Ballast Monitoring System (BMS) as part of the new LCD Graphical Dash Display to allow riders to fine tune the placement of weight in up to five areas of the boat.

Towering above the competition.
Malibu’s innovative Illusion X Tower graces the deck of the Wakesetter 247 LSV, standard. And this year the Illusion X includes a built-in navigational light for those late evenings on the lake and a Spring Assist release system for ease of collapse. Optionally, The Titan Series III and the CFT Blade Tower are available on this model

More than increased size. An entirely new standard in usable space.
It is not unreasonable to expect a 16-passenger boat to have a good deal of storage capacity. The 2006 Wakesetter 247 LSV exceeds all expectations. Malibu designers have truly examined the subtleties of storage dynamics to create the most convenient and usable cargo areas possible. This intuitive use of space in the Wakesetter 247 LSV comes in the form of above engine and above transmission storage compartments. These removable compartments are perfect for keeping towels, rash guards, wet suits toasty and an occasionally hot meal warm. The Wakesetter 247 LSV also hosts 37 cubic feet of rear storage, sub-floor ballast tanks and expansive cargo cavities beneath almost every seating area. Everything has its place in a 247 LSV.

Malibu Wakesetter 247 LSVThe Wakesetter 247 LSV, like most tow boats, comes standard with ice chest storage. What makes this Malibu so unique is the fact that it is the only boat in its class to offer two ice chests totaling more than 120 quarts of cold storage. These huge ice chests come complete with removable insulated cooler bags to make loading and unloading frosty beverages a snap. No one has to cut their ride short to head back to the marina. The Wakesetter 247 LSV can sustain even the most famished crew for a day of riding.

More innovative features.
The new LCD Graphical Dash Display acts as a window into your Wakesetter 247 LSV and demands attention with its center-mounted position, size and clarity. The Film-compensated Super Twisted Nematic (FSTN) display is one of the most recent advances in graphical displays. It allows for higher contrast and greater viewing angles. You can gather all of the information you need about your boat and its components in an eye-shot. Not only can you monitor up to 1500-pounds of Malibu Launch System (MLS) ballast and the new Precision Pro Speed Control, you can also keep track of almost any other boat system information.

More comfort. Big wake athletes need pampering too.
No matter where you are seated you will be pampered by this interior. The cushions are stuffed with tri-ply foam for the multiple densities of comfort and amazing bounce-back capability. The 38 G&T Marine vinyl which covers this interior is soft to the touch, but durable enough to revel in the rigors of marine use. And when Malibu promises head to toe comfort they aren’t kidding. The new Premium 32 oz. Polypropylene Heat Set Carpeting will pamper even the most sensitive feet.

400 horses of fuel injected fury, standard.
The Wakesetter 247 LSV motors off the factory with more than 400 horses under the hood for the 2006. The most powerful 6.2L small-block V8 ever developed for inboard use, the Hammerhead 383 cranks out 400 horse power and 420 foot-pounds of torque. Capped with Malibu’s exclusive intake plenum, the new Hammerhead sports Indmar’s high-flow multi-port induction system, GM’s famed FastBurn aluminum heads and an aggressive Indmar-spec cam combined with 16:1 roller rockers for less friction, more power. Indmar’s ETX performance exhaust manifolds and Indmar’s custom ECM calibration make this engine almost as exciting as the boat itself.

Malibu Wakesetter 247 LSVThe new Precision Pro Speed Control comes standard on almost the entire 2006 Malibu model line-up including the Wakesetter 247 LSV. Developed by Malibu engineers to bring easy-to-use accurate speed control to the masses, Precision Pro Speed Control takes the guess work and frustration out of maintaining a constant speed on the water. Get the best, most consistent, pull on the behind a Malibu.

More style.
All 24 feet 7 inches of this boat is sculpted with chiseled body lines and flawless gel coat design. Available in thousands of color combinations, buyers can choose from 21 vibrant gel coat colors when they are designing their new Wakesetter 24 LSV. Even the new aggressive directional decals scream hard core wakeboard boat. Along with all of the other design goals Malibu engineers made sure the Wakesetter 247 LSV is a head turner.
