FORT WORTH (May 3) - Before the best wakeboarders in the world get down to business at the annual Pro Wakeboard Tour stop in Fort Worth May 21-22, they'll have a chance to let down their hair and grab some serious air at the Big Air Double-Up Contest pre-event party. Open to the public, the Friday night event will showcase the top Pro and local wakeboarders beginning at 6 p.m. under the lights at the private lake of Texas Mastercraft and Chaparral, conveniently located at 2161 E. Loop 820 North.
The evening will start with the LoveSac Big Air Double-Up Contest where up to 10 Pro and 10 local wakeboarders will compete for big cash prizes. For an entry fee of just $50, this World Wakeboard Association-sanctioned event will allow the Pros to judge the locals and the locals to judge the Pros as they turn tricks and flips behind the official LoveSac Mastercraft X-Star wakeboard boat.
After the contest, fans can mingle with their heroes at the movie premiere of "Wave Theory," the newest video from the TBKS Crew featuring some of the best riders in Texas, many of whom will be on hand for the event. The film will be shown on a giant 20- by 40-foot inflatable outdoor screen provided by Blue Moon Cinemas.
Aside from title sponsor LoveSac, this special event is backed by Nissan North America, Mastercraft Boats, Krown Wakeboards, Alliance Wakeboard Magazine, Kicker Audio, Liquid Force, Spy Optic, Da Hui Clothing, Reef, Wake Culture, Gator Boards, The Chiropractic Center at TiennaHealth, Owl Lighting, Red Bull Energy Drink and Chipotle Restaurants. Local alternative radio station 102.2 “The Edge” will also be on-site from 7p-9p.
