Our 42 Butter Wakeskate is compression molded, so it is constructed like a wakeboard. The fiberglass and foam construction is superior to decks built with wood. The 42 can withstand all the punishment you can dish out, and it wont delam like many wood wakeskates.
The 42 uses a variable edge design where the skate has a softer edge in the center of the board, and progresses to a hard cupped rail near the end of the skate. Our design team wanted a super loose feel for shuvits and rotations, so we rounded-off the final edge on the last two inches of the deck. This design results in a skate that has an unmatched hold, while on edge, but allows you to release instantly for butter slides, shuvits, and rotations without getting hung-up. The 42 has a super-grippy EVA deck that is concave in design. The concave deck provides a small lip that gives you the leverage you need for the super technical tricks such as kickflips and varials. In the front and rear of the skate, we added 2-inch kick tails that provide huge ollie power and control. Finally our 42 comes with two stock 1.25 inch T-6 aluminum grade fins that are practically indestructible.
