The Midwest Wake Fest is right around the corner! If you don't already have your lodging
squared away, get on the phone today. There's a resort on the lake
(618-629-2211) or contact Darren Schneider to get a campsite reservation
(darren@mwwf.com). Check our web site or send me an e-mail if you have
any questions about lodging or anything else.
Our current sponsors are The Wake List (Wakeboarder.com), Correct Craft, WakeWorld,
Y2KP, WakeTV, Glass and Powder, Boardinggear.com, Phat Budde and T3.
Please contact me soon if you're interested in being a sponsor this
year.
Saturday will be the double up contest as usual. We haven't figured
out the cost to enter yet, but we're definitely having the contest.
Probably around $25 - $30 entry fee and 2 divisions (intermediate &
advanced/outlaw). Greg Meloon from Correct Craft will be back this year
to drive the contest. If you've been in the past, then you already know
Greg's one of the best Double Up drivers out there. He gets lots of
practice every year and always brings the latest and greatest CC boat
available.
I'll be arriving late Thursday night at the campgrounds. I'm sure
there will already be a few people there taking advantage of the smooth
water on Thursday. Friday will be a freeride day. Jocko will be there
again this year to video as many riders as he can over the weekend.
Don't miss your chance to be on WakeTV. If you don't already have a
subscription, goto www.waketv.com and order one. Saturday will be more
riding in the morning, double up contest around noon, raffle contest
after the DUP is over and we're working on getting a band out for
Saturday night. If you know of any bands that would be interested in
playing, let me know.
Sunday is more video shoots, and freeriding. Packing up and headed
home with more great memories of Rend Lake :)
