Announcing Cablestock 2005

TSR / New Braunfels, TX – Cablestock, TSR's kick off to summer action sports festival, is celebrating it's third year in style. This years event will include live music from 9 different bands, the meltdown car show, a mini air show, a bikini contest, over 30 different vendors, and of course plenty of action sports for the public and competitors. Staying true to it original format TSR is offering a three day wristband for the SkatePark and CableLake for $49.95, less than 1/3 the normal price. No other venue in the country can host 2 wakeboard competitions, a mini motocross race, and skateboard competition and still allow the public to participate in the action. Have you ever watched the pros compete against one another, been inspired and wished you could get out and be part of the action? Then TSR's Cablestock is where you need to be May 13th through 15th.

WakeBoard Events (Saturday and Sunday)
Cablestock has not one but two wakeboard competitions. Both events will host only top level competitions, providing all the thrills spectators have come to expect from TSR competitions, closing off the lakes to the public only for limited quality entertainment. The second stop of the Cable Wakeboard Tour will host athletes from all over the country in four divisions: Pro Men, Women & Junior Wakeboard and Wakeskate. With the best cable wakeboarders in the world and a few new obstacles in the cable lake the event will be one you won't want to miss. The boat lake competition will have just two divisions: Open Wakeboard and Wakeskate. Since originating the popular head-to-head format in 2003, TSR has continued to try new formats that enhance the sport. Riders will ride three times, focusing on three different disciplines: Obstacles, Wake Tricks and Double Ups. After all three events, the rider's scores would be averaged and the top overall riders would move onto Sunday.

Mini MotoCross Event (Friday Night)
Kicking off Cablestock will be the biggest motocross event ever held at TSR. Top National mini riders, Steve Halpain and Justin Miller will be among the competitiors racing in 10 different divisions. If you have never had the opportunity to see what these athletes can do on a modified mini bike, check out this event. The track will also be open to the public on both Saturday and Sunday. Live music will be part of the motocross festivities Friday night! TSR will be open until midnight for all our athletes to play.

Skateboard Competition (Sunday)
Similar to the wake events, The skateboard competition will have just one open division. The format for this competition will be a jam session that pits upto 6 skaters against each other at the same time. The top athletes in each heat will move onto the next round. For those that do not qualify the conventional way, we will host a “last chance qualifier" heat so every competitor will get to skate at least twice. DJ Jack Scanio will be spinning during the competition, which has the potential to be our best skate event ever.

If you think action sports are meant to be enjoyed from the sideline, here is a list of the top ten things you won't want to miss at Cablestock. (Voted on by the staff and regulars at TSR)
