KC Watersports, the Midwest’s only cable lake facility, is proud to announce the following events for the 2005 season. KC Watersports is dedicated to providing first class venue for the Midwest wakeboarders and wakeskaters to convene. We would like to thank of the riders and sponsors who have helped create this “Lake of Dreams”.
April 1st – 3rd
KC Watersports, the newest cable park in the United States, is set to kick off the 2005 season on April 1st. Opening weekend will feature the first “Fool’s Fest”. The weekend will feature three days of riding for the single day rate of $34. There will be a slider competition at 4PM on Saturday, with prizes for first, second, and third in each category.
In addition, there will be a prize for the best trick on the new Alliance Slider, nicknamed, “the short bus”. The short bus measures 85 feet in total length with a flat sliding surface close to 70 feet, making it the longest public sliding structure in the country. The new transitional kicker will also be introduced this weekend.
No Fear Slider
The No Fear Slider will make its debut in Mid-April. The No Fear is a classic steep, thin railed, A-Frame structure that will challenge more skilled riders. During the month of June, riders will be asked to submit a video of their best trick on the No Fear. The winner will receive a No Fear Prize Pack.
KC Watersports and Liquid Force Wakeboards will host the “Relentless Weekend”. Highlights of this weekend will include the Midwest primer of Liquid Force Film’s “Encore” video. Liquid Force Team riders Melissa Marquardt, Tino Santori and Phillip Basino will be on site to ride, sign autographs, and meet fans. The team riders will be the first to christen the new Liquid Force Encore Rail. The Encore is a unique kinked rail designed by the LF team. A slider competition will be held Saturday and a special prize will be awarded to the best trick on the Encore.

2005 US Cable Nationals
July 6th and 7th
KC Watersports has once again been selected to host the championship for the US Cable Tour. Last year, Chad Forest, Rob Mapp, Donald Shelbrick, Josh Rice and others dazzled the crowd as they competed for the nation’s top honor in cable riding. Wakeskating at last year’s event was spectacular, featuring stellar runs by Stephan Schreiwer, Zak Stone, and Matt Leitko. In an effort to continue the growth of wakeskating, KC Watersports will offer at least $1000 in cash prizes in this year’s Pro Wakeskate Division.
OP Girls Learn to Ride
OP Girls Learn to Ride is a national program that has been designed to encourage girls to participate in action and board sports. KC Watersports is scheduled to host clinics teaching girls to wakeboard on the cable lake.
Last Blast Scarecrow Jam
This weekend event will offer everyone one last chance to get wet before winter. It will also be a chance to take a sneak peak at the new 2006 Liquid Force gear. Pros and reps will be on site.
