Since its origin in 1998, Louisiana Spring Fling has been the Southeast’s premier wakeboarding event. To continue this legacy of good times, good friends, and good memories, this year we are going to focus on the riders rather than the event. LSF 2005 “Back to its Grassroots” will once again be held at its birthplace, Moon Lake Marina, on April 21-24 in Monroe, Louisiana. Our goal this year is to restore the laid-back atmosphere to the event, while fueling the fire of our sport. Spring Fling is not a contest; it is about the gathering of wakeboarding enthusiasts to meet, greet, and pursue the sport we are addicted to. In the past there have been competitions and many sightings of professionals, but the main ingredient has always been fun. This year is guaranteed to be no different, as all wakeboarders are welcome to share smooth water and good times on the Ouachita River.
Louisiana Spring Fling is the perfect kick-off of the wakeboarding season, with the ideal setting for riders to hang out, meet other talented wakeboarders, demo new equipment, and just enjoy being on the water. Bring your crew, bring your boat, bring your board, or just bring yourself, because it doesn’t take much to enjoy LSF. As the event continues to come together, it excites us to say that this year should be one of the best ever. Participants can look forward to free riding on the Ouachita, trying out products from LSF sponsors, hanging out at Moon Lake Marina, and enjoying all of the local nightlife.
Spring Fling has attracted thousands of wakeboarders from across the Southeast and reaches as far as the West Coast. We are currently confirming sponsors, so if your organization or business is interested in supporting the restoration of LSF to its former glory, please contact Clark Dudley at (901) 202-7229 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Look for future press releases for more information as scheduling and details are finalized. Hope to see you on the river at LSF 2005!
