Van's Nationals Day 1 and 2 Results
 
Indianapolis, Indiana (August 20, 2004) - The Finals of the Vans WWA Wakeboard National Championships were on top of the schedule today at the Precedent Office Park in Indianapolis as the top amateur wakeboarders in the country battled to be the best.

In all, National Championships were awarded in six different divisions on Friday, with many more divisions still competing throughout the weekend, including the Pro Men's and Pro Women's divisions which will kick off on Saturday at the Precedent Office Park in Indianapolis.

In the Amateur Women's division, Denise Parris took home the top spot to claim her first national title. Parris was the top rider in both the semifinal and final round. The Amateur Women's division is an open division for women of all age groups who do not chose to ride in the pro division.

The Men's I division is a competition for the best male riders ages 18-24. Brian Reeder takes home the top spot in Men's I in 2004. The Men's II division is men ages 25-29. Todd Anthony earned the title of top Men's II rider on Friday.

The Masters division is men ages 30-39. Billy Garcia who has held both the Masters National and World Championship is again National Champion in Masters in 2004. In the Veterans division comprised of men 40 and over, Mark Norwell takes home the National title. This marks the first year of the Open Wakeskate Division and Austin Hair takes home the first ever Open Wakeskate National title.

While some divisions were finishing on Friday, others were starting. The Girls division, comprised of girls 13 and under, got started with 12 girls. Raimi Merritt won the first heat while Patty Hicks took the second heat. In Junior Women aged 14-18 Amber Hansen was the top qualifier in the semifinals. And, in Junior Men Kyle Alberts, Austin Hair, Devin Rogers and Kevin Henshaw won semifinal heats on Friday.
