Midwest Militia's Boot Camp 2004 Wakeboard Festival

WAKE UP! It’s back again and less than one week away, Midwest Militia Wakeboarding presents their 3rd annual Boot Camp 2004 Wakeboard Festival and contest August 5th – 8th at the Busted Prop bar and grill in Ottawa, IL. Last year’s event was a success and this year’s event is going to be even bigger and better.
Red Bull and Mastercraft sponsored professional wakeboarders Nick and Julz Heaney www.nickandjulz.com will be joining us for the weekend all the way up from their clinic in Orlando, Florida. The Busted Prop in Ottawa, IL overlooks the Illinois River and provides a huge camping area, 2 sand beaches, a giant deck overlooking the Illinois River, boat launch on site, and great food and drinks. This year we will have the 40’ Rave Slider on the water, Midwest Militia’s “Kicker of Death” will make its 2nd appearence and a new kicker that is being tested as we speak, check out www.midwestmilitia.net for updates the rest of the week.
Thursday and Friday will be free-riding all day until dark and a party at The Busted prop to follow each night. Saturday is the wakeboard tourney and double up contest and Saturday night will be the “Trailer Trash” party hosted by Soulriders.com, so be sure to rock yer mullet, best pair of cutoffs, and git’r done. There will be raffles, prizes, vendors and of course partying every night. Thanks to Riverview Marine in Spring Valley, Illinois our towboat this year will be a brand new Mastercraft X-Star. The cost is $20.00 per camper for the entire weekend, this includes camping for 3 nights, a free T-shirt, stickers, launch privileges, and raffle ticket. So come on out to Ottawa, IL and ride on one of the best ski channels in the area, meet new people, bring your boat or find a pull and enjoy one of the best wakeboarding events in the Midwest.
