Ft. Worth, TX (May 22, 2004) - The best of the best in the sport of wakeboarding and wakeskating were on display at the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour presented by Chevrolet and GM Vortec engines. Stop NO. 2 of the 2004 season kicked off in front of a fired-up crowd at Ft. Worth's Marine Creek Park on Saturday.

Saturday marks the first time the Pro Wakeboard Tour unveiled the elite format where athletes have to qualify into the event to compete. With
stacked heats of the best riders in the world facing off, the competition for spots into Sunday's final rounds was tight.

Tino Santori and Andrew Adkison, Pro Tour rookies of the year in 2003 and 2002 moved on winning heats one and two. JD Webb who won the MasterCraft Junior X Series in 2003 qualified for his first pro men's semifinal taking second in his heat.

In the SeaDoo watercraft Pro Wakeskate Series Phillip Basino, Steve Schoenhals, Aaron Reed and Danny Hampson won their heats to earn spots in Sunday's finals. Hampson is looking to make it two wins in a row after winning in Orlando earlier this year. Brian Grubb, the 2003 SeaDoo watercraft Pro Wakeskate Series champion failed to qualify for the first time.

In the MasterCraft Junior X Series Danny Thollander, Rhett Whatley, Kevin Henshaw and Scott Hopkins won heats. Henshaw is looking to win two in a row with a win in Ft. Worth.
