The "Extreme Sports Series Wakefest" Announces Its Third Annual Stop In Kelowna, B.C.

Vancouver, B.C. - The world's hottest pro wakeboarders will be making waves from July 9-11 when they hit Kelowna's Waterfront Park for the "Extreme Sports Series Wakefest" presented by Coors Light. This premiere action sports event, one of the largest of its kind in the world, will showcase some of the most exciting athletes in the sport, including 2004 Pro Wakeboard Season Champion Parks Bonifay, local sensation Chad Sharpe from Cloverdale, B.C., and Darin Shapiro, one of the most popular athletes in the sport's history.
Marking its third annual stop in Kelowna in 2004, Lake Okanagan's Waterfront Park will be overflowing with something for every fan of summer, including exciting wakeboarding and extreme sports action, the hottest music, and guys and girls soaking up the sunshine!
Wakefest Weekend Lineup
Friday - The action kicks off with high-flying wakeboard action with the Flash Mastercraft Wakeboard Clinic, Pro Tour Training and the Pro Invitational Slider Competition, the Coors Light Beverage Gardens, incredible FMX demo's and the Extreme Music Series opening concerts.
Saturday - The weekend heats up with Pro Tour athletes competing for qualifying spots on the Pro Wakeboard Tour, the Pro Wake Skate Contest, the Pro Double-Up Contest and more free style motocross action! The fun continues with the Bikini Contest and the live Extreme Music Series concert into the night.
Sunday - Explodes with the Pro Wakeboard Tour Finals with $30,000 USD on the line along with Pro Wake Skate finals action combined with even more great outdoor entertainment.
Last year's Wakefest saw nearly 30,000 people take in the action and fun that Kelowna is world-famous for, and this year, the Okanagan can look forward to hosting one of the hottest action sports events ever.
