2004 World Wakesurfing Championships To Be Held At Boardstock

The World Wakesurfing Championships has a new home for 2004 along with Boardstock in Stockton, CA. Centurion Boats will host its annual event in conjunction with Boardstock on August 28-29, 2004.

In 2003, the World Wakesurfing Championships were held in Merced, CA with numerous professional and amateur athletes from the wakeboarding, skimboarding, wakerskiing, and surfing worlds representing their respective sports in an all out surfing battle behind the boat. In the end Drew Danielo, a skimboarder from the state of Florida, came out on top as the World Wakesurfing Champion.

The 2004 World Wakesurfing Championships will be conducted in a slightly different venue than last year. The event will be held as an open pro/am event with open and amateur divisions. All are welcome to compete. Over $10,000 in prize money will be awarded as well as additional prizes, boards, and fun.

For more information on the event please visit www.centurionboats.com and www.boardstock.com in the coming weeks. The official World Wakesurfing Championships website will be up and running soon with information on how to sign up, schedule of events and much more. Please visit www.centurionboats.com for access to that site as well.

Companies and persons interested in sponsorship of the World Wakesurfing Championships should contact Robert Thayer, Marketing Manager for Centurion Boats, for more information. Mr. Thayer may be contacted at (757) 491-5721 or at rthayer@centurionboats.com.
