Last summer with the media frenzy and excitement surrounding the introduction of the new X-Star JL Audio seized the opportunity to generate some additional excitement of their own by upgrading Major’s boat with over $20,000 in audio gear. “It was amazing” quipped Major, “I have never heard anything like it before or since! Not only did it sound awesome in the boat, everyone remarked at how clear it was riding behind it as well.” The project consisted of 4 subwoofers (in specially made enclosures), 12 speakers installed in the boat, 8 speakers on the tower and over 4500 watts of power. The boat is scheduled to be featured in an upcoming issue of Car Audio and Electronics magazine as well as to appear on the web site www.wakeworld.com.
Already in the works is Major’s 2004 JL Audio X-Star which promises more power…everywhere. The new boat will be powered by a 450hp L18 big block and is slated to receive even more speakers, amps and subs than its predecessor. The 2004 model will be featured at several clinics and demos throughout the year and the appearance schedule will be posted at a later date on Maeghan’s web site www.maeghanmajor.com as well her on-line store www.trinityboardshop.com.
The 2004 season kicks off in Orlando Florida at the Orlando Watersports Complex. The action starts April 30th and concludes May 1st.
