It’s back again and only one week away, Midwest Militia Wakeboarding presents their 2nd annual Boot Camp 2003 Wakeboard Festival and contest August 7th – 10th at the Busted Prop bar and grill in Ottawa, IL (Formerly Miss Kate’s Canteena).
Last year’s event was a success and this year’s event is going to be even bigger and better. With the Busted Prop under new ownership, they have added more camping area, 2 sand beaches, a giant deck overlooking the Illinois River, a new sand volleyball court, as well as many other improvements. Boot Camp is all about bringing riders together from the Midwest, meeting new people, and promoting our sport and other extreme sports in the Midwest.
This year we will have a new 40’ Rave Slider on the water, 2 live bands to get you amped up to ride during the day, a sand volleyball tournament, lots of prizes, vendor booths, a DJ and partying every night. Bob from See What I See Productions will be there filming footage for their next DVD featuring riders from the Midwest. Jarrod from Boreded Up Productions will be their Friday getting some footage as well. Look for the best riders going off in our double up contest at the end of the day on Saturday, and guys, you have to stick around for the all girls boat on Sunday morning. And thanks to Paradise Marine in Morris, IL, our towboat will be a new 2003 MB B-52 Team edition decked out with a 2100 lb ballast system.
The cost is $20.00 per camper for the entire weekend; this includes camping for 3 nights, a free T-shirt, stickers, launch privileges, and a raffle ticket for a free wakeboard and other prizes. So come on out to Ottawa, IL and ride on one of the best ski channels in the area camp, party, ride and meet new people and enjoy one of the best events in the Midwest. Bring your family and or friends and come see some of the Midwest’s best wakeboarders throwing it down.
