Orlando Watersports Complex, Florida (May 3, 2003) - Crystal clear “summer like” weather greeted the 60 competitors of the 2nd round of the Gravel Tour May 3rd at the Orlando Watersports Complex and provided for some amazing riding. Outlaw rider John Nadolski proved once again that he is one of the riders to beat this year. Nadolski threw down a flawless technical run to secure his victory at stop number 2 and proved that his time spent training with Darin Shapiro in the off season has been effective. Nadolski, now living in Orlando, edged out Dan Thollander and Adam Haller to win this elite division. In the Advanced Division, Weston Cotton of Pompano Beach rode cleanly and solid to win his division over Orlando’s Adam Errington and Chris Beckman. Cotton, a series veteran, showed a clean fluid style that easily won over the judges! In the Novice Division, Mason Dorner, competing for the first time this season, quickly stepped back into the series overall contention. Dorner, of Orlando, mixed up his pass with a wide variety of spins and various grabs to earn the style points necessary to take home the first place “hardware” for his division! Also victorious was Grom Steel Lafferty edging out 2002 Grom Series Winner John Jeffries by a point, Brian Gardner in Intermediate, and Amber Hansen in the Women’s Division.
