Velocity Wakeboard School is opening this summer on Lake Martin, Alabama. The school will focus on its attention on the beginning to intermediate riders. From those looking to get a good start at their wakeboarding career to those wanting to land their first invert.
The founder and head instructor, Preston Segars, believes that proper form is the key to taking your riding to the next level. Video playback is used to allow each rider to see the pros and cons of their riding skills. Visualization is an important part in helping the students see what he or she could do to further improve. The school uses a 2002 Malibu Wakesetter VLX with all the ammenities and a kickin' sound system.
Classes will run Monday thru Friday and will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. There will be a minimum of two students and no more than five per day. The reasons for this are, of course, safety issues and also to allow each rider ample time behind the boat. Daily lessons will be $100 a day per student and weekly lessons (Monday-Friday) will be $425 per student. Each day includes plenty of riding time, lunch at one of the local on-water restaraunts, and, if wakeboarding gets to be too much for you, wakeskating and wakesurfing is a great way to have fun also. 2003 CWB demo boards and bindings will be available to try out.
This is a day camp, so accomodations will need to be made on Lake Martin. Call Preston at 334-524-5099 or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org for dates, availability and further details.
