Aerial Wakeboarding Announces A New OEM-Styled Line of Universal Wakeboarding Towers, Speakers, Rack
The new FreeRide universal wakeboarding tower features a bold design, folding frame, and ultra-rigid construction, giving wakeboard enthusiasts the look-and-feel of a high-end OEM wakeboarding tower, but with the price point and ease-of-installation of a universal tower.
May 20, 2010 - Laguna Hills, CA - Aerial Wakeboarding announces FreeRide, their new line of universal wakeboarding towers, speakers, racks and accessories.
The FreeRide family of products is the result of over 15 months of development and testing, utilizing the latest generation of 3D modeling software and manufacturing technologies.
Central to the FreeRide line is the FreeRide wakeboarding tower. It features a dramatic forward swoop, reinforcing buttresses along the curved frame, a twin H-top, and quick release knobs that make it easy to fold the tower for transporting and storage. These design elements give the FreeRide tower the style of an OEM tower only available with specialized wakeboarding boats. But FreeRide is a universal tower, designed to fit on nearly every power boat made in the last 30 years.
The FreeRide tower is manufactured with 2.25 inch diameter (2.5 inch diameter for the top cross bar) 6061 aircraft grade aluminum tubing to minimize tower flex while wakeboarding. The universal design of this tower allows it to fit any boat from 75-100 inches wide. When folded, the FreeRide tower will clear a standard 6 foot 11 inch garage opening for storage. Universal swivel mounts can be installed to the top or side of almost any hull.
To comply with U.S. Coast Guard standards and various state laws requiring specific lighting configurations for boats operating between sunset and sunrise or in times of restricted visibility, the FreeRide features a compact size LED white light above the tow point. The light features Attwood's incandescent 5940 series LED that draws only 1.8 watts at 12VDC, the lowest power draw of any 2-mile all-round light on the market. Lights are rated for 50,000+ hours of use.
The FreeRide product line also includes fixed and quick-release wakeboard racks, and single and twin speakers featuring PolkAudio marine certified db651 speakers. Additional accessories, including a bimini and a stand to support the folded tower, will be announced in summer 2010.
Aerial Wakeboarding is one of the fastest growing businesses in wakeboarding. The company has built a reputation for manufacturing high quality towers and offering superior customer service to dealers, installers and riders.
The FreeRide tower is available in a polished aluminum or powder coated black finish. MSRP is $1699 and is shipping now. The FreeRide tower is backed by a 5-year warranty. For a list of local and online dealers that offer the FreeRide tower, and for more product details.
