Maryville, TN (April 12, 2008) ~ Supra is pleased to announce they have signed Jacob and Eddie Valdez as the newest addition to their official team. The signing took place during the Friday Night Lights event at Island Marine in Corona, CA. The Southern California Valdez brothers are joining Team Supra riders Josh Sanders, Ben Greenwood, Trevor Hansen, Amber Wing, Reed Hansen and Austin Hair. The brothers will work closely with Team Supra and Island Marine.
"We have a fabulous pro staff of great riders, but more importantly great people. "This year we focused on adding youth to our pro staff. So we spoke to the guys who manage the tour, to the riders on tour and we talked to several leading wakeboard and wakeskate instructors. We discussed candidates with our team and then we studied the candidates at the World Championships and the INT's paying particular attention to the Boys and Jr. Men divisions. There is so much talent out there today its unbelievable."
Supra would have loved to have been able to sign ten riders. But when all was said and done Supra announced they think the future of the sport can best be summed up in one word: VALDEZ. Jacob and Eddie ride for all the right reasons. They ride with both precision and style.
Team riders at Supra are more than just pro tour representatives. They are involved in product design and development. They provide input on competitive rider likes and dislikes.
