FUEL TV Set to Air The Carnival

Orlando, Fla. - Fuel TV is set to air the sport of wakeboarding's most elite rail contest, The Carnival, presented by Fox on Monday, September 10, 2007 at 9:30 pm (Eastern & Pacific Time), and re-air it several more times over the next month.

Tune in to watch the most memorable rail contest in wakeboarding, The Carnival, which returned this summer to The Projects in Orlando, Florida where the world's top pros battled for the Heavyweight belt on May 10-12, 2007.

Known as the first rail contest in the history of the sport, and the event that put The Projects on the map in 1999, riders like Thomas Horrell, Gator Lutgert and champion Scott Byerly proved that rail riding was a category within the sport that deserved attention.

After two years of absence, The Carnival rose again in 2001, also at the Projects, with some incredible rails, gaps and even unimaginable structures like a full-size Team Pain quarter pipe. With increasing popularity in rail riding, the vibe was heavy and another one of the sports biggest names walked away with the belt, Mr. Parks Bonifay.

This year, Mr. Bonifay will have to defend his title in order to keep the belt. For 2007, The Projects created the unthinkable, adding multiple rails to their already-stacked park, with invites for 10 riders and an opportunity for six riders to make it through to hang with the best.

The Carnival, a historic event known as the first-ever rail contest, was held first in 1998 and again in 2002. In 2007, the contest was resurrected. Jumping on board to bring the event back to the limelight was presenting sponsor Fox Riders Co., as well as Alliance Multimedia, Sea-Doo, Hyperlite, Gator Boards, Slingshot and Rockstar Energy Drink.
