(Merced, CA) - The 2008 Malibu boat web site has been completely redesigned to get clients to the information they seek faster and easier as well as creating a graphically pleasing experience along the way. And then there's the content. The 2008 Malibu Boats Web Site is content heavy with more in the works and being added everyday. The fact that this web site was published earlier than it ever has been was just a bonus.
The last year was spent scrutinizing the Malibu web presence and gathering as much data as possible form site users. Thanks to Malibu's diligence in this area, the 2008 result is the perfect blend of navigation, look and content. And it was this preparation that allowed the site to be released early.
The structure is simple and easy to navigate. After polling retail users and Malibu dealers as well as general web experts, a navigation structure was created. The goal of this design was to get clients to their desired information in 3 clicks or less and strategically place the most popular site items in prominent easily identifiable areas.
The look of the web site also played a huge part in the redesign effort. Malibu was after a look that rivaled the beauty and fun of their boats. They turned to graphic designers and long-time Malibu family members Flannel Design. The boys at Flannel designed the graphical user interface and handed it over to the programmers and designers at Malibu Boats to put it into action.
The 2008 Web Site was populated with new boat content as well as company, construction, ownership and pro team information. Malibu has also added a weekly blog, a factory tour, more video and owner stories. In the coming month Malibu Boats will be launching a new Malibu Culture web site as well as adding video with voice over to the new plant tour. Malibu has also redesigned their boat specification program and plans to release the 2008 version of iSpec in early August.
