Maryville, Tenn. (March 26, 2007) - Supra team riders Trevor Hansen and Austin Hair are off to an auspicious start of the season. The two most recently competed in Board-Up Miami and International Water Ski Foundation's Pan Am Region Wakeboard Championships, South Florida's premiere wakeboard and music festival. Hair won first place in both the King of Spring Wakeskate competition and the IWSF Pan Am Region Men's Wakeskate Finals while placing third in the King of Spring Wakeboard competition.
"This contest was a great way to get back into the swing of things and have some fun while in Miami," said Hair. "Now I feel great about this season and am pumped on getting back out on the water and training."
Trevor Hansen saw success in last weekend's competitions as well - he placed third in the IWSF Pan Am Region Wakeboard Pro Men's Finals right behind Canada's Rusty Malinoski and USA's Phillip Soven. In addition, Hansen placed sixth overall in the Board-Up Miami competition.
"We're extremely proud to be sponsoring such accomplished professional riders," said Michael Littman, Skier's Choice Marketing Director. "We definitely have a great group of guys this year. It's always exciting to hear good news from them, whether it's news on a win, an update on their training, or just something they think we'd be proud of."
Fresh off a first place wakeskating victory at the 2007 Australian Pro Tour, Hair is continuously making impressions left and right. And, Hansen recently competed amongst the top ten men for a chance to claim the King of Wake title, which remains an exciting opportunity for wakeboarders at every level.
