Midwest Militia’s Boot Camp 2006 Wakeboard Festival
August 10-13 at the Busted Prop in Ottawa, IL on the Illinois River
The Midwest is boiling this time of year and the Midwest Militia is cooking up some sizzling wakeboarding action. It’s back again and less than one week away, Midwest Militia’s 5th annual Boot Camp Wakeboard festival. “The Busted Prop” once again plays host to the biggest and best wakeboard event in the Midwest, so don’t miss out on a weekend full of camping, partying, riding and entertainment with a wakeboard tournament on Saturday. Come see some of the best riders in the Midwest tearing it up behind a brand new Mastercraft X-Star from Chicago MasterCraft and a new Supra Launch 21V from Ultimate Wake Watersports at Chicago Sea Ray or bring your own boat and crew and shred the midwests’ best water. Look for vendor booths from clothing and gear companies including Central Clothing, UGP, Gator Boards and Helium. With many new sponsors this year look for a huge raffle Saturday Night with boards, clothes, and gear as well as prizes to the top 3 finishers in each division of the tournament. The tentative schedule looks to be as follows:
Thursday August 10th
3-9 PM - Arrival of campers and Participants - open riding until dark. Party at the Busted Prop Lounge
Friday August 11th
All Day - Campers arriving for the Weekend, meet and greet new wakeboarders from all over the Midwest, find a pull or bring your own boat and ride till you drop. Open riding all day.
9pm - ?? - Party at Busted Prop Lounge—Entertainment by DJ
Saturday August 12th
Wakeboard Tournament-Presented by Chicago Mastercraft and Ultimate Wake Watersports. Get a pull behind one of our new towboats including the Supra Launch 21V and Mastercraft X-Star. Classes: Women, Youth, Beginner, Intermediate, Veteran and Outlaw Classes, 2 passes or 2 falls. 9am-10:00am - Tournament registration BE ON TIME! We have a 35 rider limit—Last year we filled up quick. $20.00 to compete—includes insurance for the day - Prizes awarded to top 3 places in each class 10am-6:00pm - Wakeboard Competition 8:00pm—Prizes awarded for tournament 9pm—raffling of more Prizes 9pm-?? – Entertainment at The Busted Prop Lounge.
Sunday August 13th—
9:00am— Wake up, drink some Red Bull and ride all day. Stay as long as you want and enjoy some great water.
