Ski Rixen will host the 2006 USA Wakeboard Cable National Tournament, on April 29, 2006 at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Sanctioned by USA Wakeboard, this competition will feature top wakeboarders and wakeskaters from all over the United States, all vying for a National Championship title and a chance to be chosen as part of the 2006 USA Wakeboard Cable Team that will compete in July 2006, at the IWSF Cable World Championships in Austria.
Anyone from beginners to pros is encouraged to enter, with a division to accommodate any venue of riding. New to this year’s format, will be an obstacle only competition, a viewer’s choice award, and a sickest trick of the day event.
Besides all the water action, there will be many ongoing family activities, such as a scavenger hunt, raffle, silent auction, some demos and much more. Not to mention that the audience will get to vote for the viewer’s choice award, so make sure to attend the event and show support for your favorite rider.
The huge success of the 2005 USA Wakeboard Cable Team’s placement at the IWSF Cable World Championships in Hungary has generated even more enthusiasm, momentum, and growth for cable wakeboarding, evident by the generation of sponsorship interest in this event by companies such as Liquid Force, Shred Ready Helmets, Newt Juice Binding Lube, Cablewakeboard.com, Red Bull, FL Wake Magazine and Rinker Construction.
