Sunday, November 11th wrapped up the first ever Cable Wakeboard National Championship at the Orlando Watersports Complex in Orlando, Florida.
The event was a huge success, complete with some surprising twists in the finals. Of particular note, Brad Federspiel's stand-up passes set
the standard and won him the Gold in the Open Men Division, defeating two of the favorites, Rob Mapp and Keith Lidberg, who fell early.
Donald Shelbrick edged passed pro Danny Harf to take second place honors. Adding to her list of many wins for the summer, Dallas Friday's skills on the sliders gave her the victory in the Open Women division.
Wakeskate division rookie Brandon Thomas achieved a surprising win over seasoned pro Shaun Murray to take the Gold.
Highlights of the tournament included gigantic wild card tricks like Danny Harf's 540 off the OWC kicker and Keith Lidberg's indy S-bend 540.
