MasterCraft Signs Rider Rusty Malinoski to a 3 Year Deal

From Mastercraft:

Vonore, TN --- Rusty Malinoski, one of the world’s top professional wakeboarders who is fresh off a year in which he won just about every major event, started 2006 off right by signing a new deal with MasterCraft that places him on the top wakeboard team. This new, three-year relationship adds Rusty to an elite roster of MasterCraft athletes, including Parks and Shane Bonifay, Zane Schwenk and Andrew Adkison.

Known for his intense and aggressive riding, the Canadian from Humboldt, Saskatchewan is “stoked” to have the support of MasterCraft and the pull of the award-winning X-Star to add more tricks to an already full bag. “Whether they’ll admit it or not, riders have massive respect for MasterCraft, which makes it the ultimate company to ride for,” says Malinoski. “Honestly, there were opportunities to ride for other companies but when I looked around, I could not ignore the fact MasterCraft brought us here and continues to do more for our sport than ever. Of course, getting to ride and train behind a customized X-Star is simply icing on the cake and definitely will give me an edge for future competitions.”

MasterCraft, which pulls the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour, X Games, Wakeboard World Cup and IWSF World Championships, is equally excited to have Malinoski on its team -- especially in such a competitive environment. “Someone like Rusty is so valuable to our industry because he is the whole package – he is an innovative, impressive rider plus he is highly respected for his amiable personality, approachability and work ethic,” says Aarne Clow, team and event manager for MasterCraft. “As the sport evolves and gains more notoriety, it is crucial to have athletes that not only represent sponsors favorably behind the boat, but in front of the public as well. Rusty -- like Zane and Andrew -- are the new standard for the sport of wakeboarding.”
