Josh Sanders Is Still The King Of Wake
Orlando, FL – Josh Sanders won the Pro Wakeboard Tour championship and followed it up with a third-place finish at the X Games last weekend to maintain the lead in the current KING OF WAKE standings.

Sanders has maintained the world NO. 1 ranking as the KING OF WAKE since the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour’s event in Reno, Nevada on June 5, and is the favorite heading into the last three events on the KING OF WAKE schedule to earn the $10,000 bonus for winning the KING OF WAKE title.

Sanders has been the most consistent rider in 2005, making it to the finals of each event in which he has competed. Sanders has finished in the top three, in four out of the six events on the KING OF WAKE schedule.

Sanders currently has 535 points in the KING OF WAKE Standings, 20 points more than Daniel Watkins who is in second place with 515 points. Phillip Soven is in third place with 465 points followed by Brett Eisenhauer in fourth with 460 points.

In fifth place, Danny Harf has been on a tear of late, winning the last two events in a row. But with 454 points, Harf still trails Sanders by almost 100 points. Trailing Harf by 19 points in sixth place is Andrew Adkison.

Erik Ruck is in seventh place with 381 points, followed by Rusty Malinoski and Tino Santori tied for eighth place with 335 points. Chad Sharpe rounds out the top 10 in tenth place with 310 points.

The quest for the best in professional wakeboarding takes on a whole new meaning in 2005 with the expansion of the Wakeboard World Cup title, to create a $10,000 winner take all prize, the KING OF WAKE award that will be given to the top professional rider in the world. World Sports & Marketing created the prestigious Wakeboard World Cup standings list eight years ago, but 2005 marks the first year for the $10,000 KING OF WAKE award.
