Sparks, NV – Canadian Rusty Malinoski earned his first-ever MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour victory on Sunday at Sparks Marina. Malinoski, outlasted Australian Brett Eisenhauer in the head-to-head Pro Men’s Finals to reach the top of the podium for the first time.
In Pro Women’s action, Dallas Friday continued her impressive streak, adding a MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour Reno/Sparks tour stop title and the Indmar Performance Award as the top Pro Women’s rider on the Pro Wakeboard Tour in 2005.
In the SeaDoo watercraft Pro Wakeskate Series Brandon Thomas took home the victory in the head-to-head finals against Clint Tompkins.
The MasterCraft Junior X Series Reno/Sparks title went to another Canadian, Aaron Rathy. Philips Combs finished second and Austin Hair finished third. The win for Rathy is his second consecutive victory of the 2005 season.
This marks the second year of competition at the Sparks Marina for the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour. This event was made possible through the support of the Reno Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority.
The MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour is a five-event circuit organized by World Sports & Marketing of Orlando, Florida.
