So I get to try on EVERY boardshort that Boardstop stocks.  These new Speed Tech shorts from Alpinestars has to be the best feeling boardshort I have ever tried.

Every season we get a huge amount of new gear in the Wakeboarder.com(Boardstop.com) shop.  Some of the stuff we can’t understand why our buyers thought the stuff was good at Expo but we have it and we have to sell it.  After we get it all in and check it all out we have a contest in the shop to see who can pick the products that will be the best sellers of the season.  Here are a few from my list…and keep in mind.. I have won the shop contest 2 years in a row.. 

For 2009 I have a feeling that this new vest from LF is going to be a best seller.  The vest has a great look and fit.  Not sure where LF is getting this vest made but it looks like the Billabong and O’neil comp vests.  I pick this as the best selling LF vest of the season.

Last season I lost ground to one of our employees because I thought that nobody would want the Scarface(Prom Night) vest..  Well she mopped the floor with me on that item.  That Prom night vest sold like crazy.  I’m jumping on the fashion statement vest this season and picking the Risky Business.

 Soven has killed it on the PS3 for seasons.  Owning the tour on a PS3 and getting a new board after coming off another huge season means the S4 will be one of the best selling boards in the LF line this year.  I picked the S4 138 to be a big seller for LF this year.  I am already off to a good start.

Packages always sell great but for some reason white and clean looking packages are always my pick.  I am going with my go to package again this season.  I’m going to go with the CWB Pure wakeboard package for a second season in a row and I know the Pure will not let me down.

The new boat setting out for the first day on the water.  We were lake testing the 2009 Wakeboarder.com Malibu.  The guys at Central Texas Watersports were nice enough to get the boat ready for the weekend but did not have time to lake test the boat so we decided to do the test ourself.  No problems to report on the new boat.

Our new Wakeboarder.com boat just hit the dealer today.  I ran out and took a few pictures of the new wb.com boat.  As soon as we have the boat rigged I will get more detailed pictures.  But here is a sneak peak at the 2009 Malibu Wakesetter 21 VLX…..

Last weekend we had a Malibu demo day on Saturday and the Grind contest on Sunday.  A full weekend of wakeboarding and boating.  Really put me in the summer mindset.  The lake was packed on Saturday with boat after boat leaving the dock.  This is the best time of the year.  Sunday at the Grind event just make lake season get off to a great start.  Tino, Gabe, Tom and Keith were hitting the rails and showing off all their skill.  Tino hit the rail on his second pass and I could tell he was going to be hard t beat.  If a kid can jump off a delayed flight and then throw down a sick pass on his second hit you know he is going to be on it.  Keith now riding for Jstar has a few things planned for this season.  Keep an eye out for some stuff from him and his crew of riders.

Friday night I had to work late….don’t feel sorry for me because my job was to judge the Grind Series Bikini contest.   I am still trying to figure out how I ended up in a position like this but I’m not going to complain.  It beats a day job…  Since I had to “work” my wife took some pictures of the event.

Now I have seen it all.  I am in San Antonio visiting family and this is what I see driving out of the neighboorhood.

In the past year I have had items stolen out of my car and others in the area have had similar problems.  But THIS… This takes the cake…..

One of our friends emailed this to me asking if this was one of the events that we sponsored…..I told him no..  This was not one of the events that Wakeboarder.com was responsible for..  I bet most of you have seen it but I missed this one ..

I need to get me one of these.  Horacio over at Nice rack just sent me a video of a new Mirror arm that they make for the Malibu boat.  From the video it is a must have for me.

Where did the wind come from?  Friday night I went out for more filming and we had some pretty nice conditions in places.  We were able to get a few people on film…..but Saturday the wind kicked in and Waketoberfest had some really bad water conditions.  We setup camp around 9-10am.  Brought out the wakeboarder.com Malibu and parked it on shore. ( The Malibu really got a workout this past week since all the riders really wanted to ride behind the Malibu.  We brought in some extra bags so the loaded 21 was putting out a really huge wake).  During the contest at waketoberfest we fired up the grill….cooked food and served up drinks all day.  It was a great way to spend our day.  We even gave out some tees and stickers.  We hope everyone had a great time at the event because we had a really laid back day and it was great seeing and meeting everyone.
